You and I, the common pissants of the country, are about to be royally screwed. Wording eking out of the Washington sewers late yesterday is that Obama is about to make a special deal with the unions to exempt them from major provisions of ObamaCare. As you know, the unions have been raising holy hell for the last few months, ever since they discovered what was in the bill away from the smoke and fog of the day it was signed.
Unless you are a member of a major union, your Labor Day gift this year is that you only get one exemption... the cap on the amount you will have to pay for medical care. Starting October 1st, virtually every man, woman and child comes under ObamaCare, except some big businesses, small businesses, some healthcare exchanges, Members of Congress... there are 30 or more exemptions out there. I only get one and most people in this country only get one; having to pay more money.
That is discriminatory to the nth degree. Any Court in the country would have to so rule. Hopefully, there is more than one attorney out there willing to take this case.
Barring World War III or such, I won't be posting on Monday. I'll still be ticked off.

The liberals will never give up, and California has its share of them. Lawmakers are nearing a final vote that would take away tax exempt status for any group that discriminates on the basis of “gender identity, race, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, or religious affiliation.”
In other words, the Girl Scouts cannot deny membership to a boy who claims he is really s girl, even before he has a sex change operation. They cannot deny membership to transvestites or atheists, either. Considering the nature of the pending law, I suppose the next steps are that you must deny membership to those who believe in pro-life; uniforms cannot have a U.S. flag on them; there can be no awards or merit badges for religious activities; they cannot pray during meetings; and all activities must be reviewed and approved in advance by the D.H.S.
The bill was introduced by Democratic State Senator Ricardo Lara who is NOT from San Francisco, but from Los Angeles' County's Bell Garden.
I think those of us who are still dumb enough to live in this state should be looking for a new location.

Although the Arab League has declined to back a probable U.S. retaliatory attack on Syria, although it is evident that the United Nations will not sanction such an attack and regardless of American sentiment against such an attack, the White House has given every indication that it will proceed with such an attack and that it will not seek Congressional authorization to do so.
Once again, Obama proves to us that he considers himself to be above the laws of our country. When are the spineless bastards on The Hill and in this country going to do something about it?

When Obama took unilateral action in Libya without Congressional approval, he violated the Constitution for the umpteenth time. The question now arises: Will he do it again?
Obama evidently thinks the United Nations rules what the United States does. He thinks that by signing on to their small arms treaty, he will force U.S. Citizens to give up on the Second Amendment and turn in their guns. Likewise, he feels he has to ask them for permission to go after Syria and he simultaneously leaves out getting authority from Congress. (Although I am not in favor of taking any action in Syria, I do think Congress should give permission, if asked.)
I believe that, unless the United Nations asks us to intervene or unless Syria takes some overt action against the U.S., we have no legal basis to attack that nation. And yes, beyond doubt the use of chemical weapons by Assad is reprehensible and heinous. But, where does it say that we have any obligation whatsoever in International Law to intercede in another country's internal affairs? In fact, the way things are in Syria right now, both sides in this Civil war are our enemies; why not just let them kill each other off?
If Obama acts again without Congressional sanction, I submit he is the de facto dictator and that he must be impeached and removed.

John Kerry said yesterday that there is absolutely no doubt about the fact that Syria deployed nerve gas that killed hundreds. Now there's, talk about getting the U.N. on board and getting our allies to join us so that whatever we do by the way of retaliation is not unilateral. In other words, politics rules the day. This kind of pussy-footing around has never been proven to be an effective strategy; it's as if WE are on eggshells when THEY should be.
To be clear, I do not think we should get involved at all unless the United Nations asks us to. Their civil war is internal and therefore a matter to be dealt with between their government and their people. Surely, using nerve gas is reprehensible. Their whole damned civil war is reprehensible. But, in international law, theirs is a sovereign nation and we have no right to interfere, no matter how righteous we are.
Yet, Obama drew his line in the sand and threatened Assad if he ever crossed it, which Assad has done. Failure to act by Obama can only be seen as another weakness be terrorists everywhere. If it were up to me, and I had to act, I'd just lob a bomb or two into Assad's living room like we did to Gaddafi once years ago. That got the the message to him in a big way. And, I'd already have it done. The way they're going about it, it'll probably be Christmas before anything happens, if it ever does.

Daniel Ellsberg, the guy who leaked the Pentagon Papers back in 1971, says we are well on our way to becoming a police state. He cites the N.A.S. spying scandal and the Administration's treatment of Manning and Snowden as examples. I agree with him and I further cite the Fast & Furious and Benghazi coverups as well as the D.O.J. attack on the Associated Press and FOX and the I.R.S. targeting of conservative groups and individuals as further evidence. We also have the militarization of D.H.S. and law enforcement to consider.
The truth is being oppressed. We are told only what they want to tell us and then without veracity.
" I absolutely agree with Edward Snowden. It's worth a person's life,
prospect of assassination, or life in prison or life in exile — it's
worth that to try to restore our liberties and make this a democratic
country," Ellsberg said. Speaking specifically with reference to N.S.A. he continued, "It gives the government blackmail capability over the population at
large . . . With the digital stuff alone, we have a surveillance
capability that outmatches any police state in the history of humanity."
Obama has prosecuted twice as many whistleblowers as all previous presidents combined. Times in this country are dangerous when you have government employees in high positions hosting websites that call for blacks to kills whites and you get an almost total lack of care or concern on the part of the agency involved.

I caught a bit of "THE FIVE" on Fox News yesterday and think the crew is on to something. The essence of it is that black violence has become hip and the culture behind it is that you're not cool until you've been in the slammer; it's a badge of honor to be able to say you've been to prison.
We honkies of the country need to come to grips with the fact that while we hate the thought of going to prison, many blacks in this country actually look forward to it. For one thing, they get free room, food and board, colored T.V. to sit on their duffs and watch, and they don't have to listen to their mother, grandmother or anyone else bitch at them. That's not a bad life in their eyes.
We have created this monster, you know. There was a day when you didn't want to go to prison because it was hell. You had a lumpy bed, if you were lucky enough to have a mattress, no T.V., and you had to work your tail off on a chain gang. That's the way things were until the left-wing nice guys stuck their noses into it.
Stop and consider that the black community is the highest segment of unemployed in the nation. What are you going to do with yourself? Idle minds and hands lead to drugs and crime; you know it and I know it. In an effort at "affirmative action," we created the new breed who feels entitled to have the job and education before the honkies and when they don't get it, they get angry.
Someone else on another program hit on another aspect: what the black community really needs is a positive role model to lead them and what the country needs is a leader who can bring us together as a nation, heal our wounds and restore our sense of Americanism. I think the country to a great extent fell in love with Obama in the hopes that he was "the one," but he has proven to be the exact opposite. He is the "great divider" who has stoked the embers of racism back into fires and done more harm to the black community than all of the white honkies and K.K.K. members in the history of this nation... together.
He should be ashamed of himself. He is a crook, a liar, a two-bit thug and he's got a large portion of the black community thinking he's cool.

I think that one of the attractions of the many Tea Parties is that they offer you a way to have a voice without sticking your neck too far out. What I have seen evolve, however, is that people are starting to be more and more vocal and to be putting more and more gripes on the table and into the public forum. I also think that as you start speaking out among friends and to your political delegations, you are going to progressively become more vocal. (I hate using the word "progressive;" they've made a dirty word out of it.)
Joining a large group such as a Tea Party gives you more opportunity to flex your wings and to discover for yourself where you would like to direct your energy. You may need to investigate several different Tea Party organizations before you find one to your liking. They are not all involved in the same things; some have become content to have guest speakers and to invite the public, while others are actively seeking strong political candidates to back in coming elections. When you do this, you will encounter and become friends with a whole new group of people who will offer you encouragement and help you to help them make a difference.
The fact that the left-wingers went to such an extent to try and convince the general public that Tea Party members were rapists, pillagers, racists and monsters in other ways is testimony to the fact that the organizations were effective in 2010 and played a continuing major role in 2012. I consider them to be the single best venue at the moment for launching an effective attack against the status quo in Washington.
Another group that is effective is the National Rifle Association. The anti-Americans, the ones who have been eavesdropping on us through N.S.A. or targeting us through the I.R.S., despise the N.R.A. That organization is experienced in fighting the important battles, particularly with respect to the Second Amendment. And, by the way, yesterday I was talking about education; I strongly urge you to get a copy of our Constitution and to read it. Read it with the family and ask them to participate in defining what it means.
To the extent that you follow my advice given over the last few days, you are now prepared to venture off on your journey. It's a most important journey because those of us who believe in America and who want to restore its dynamic and historic energy in the world.... well, we need your help.
Come stand with us on the right side of Democracy.

Keep in mind that the opposition has been drowning us out for decades. They own the press and the media. They know and use all of the dirty tricks: lying, spinning, obfuscating, hiding, laying the blame on someone else... the list is endless. So, getting vocal is only the first step. Educating America is the next.
Understand that the left-wing-liberals are currently in charge of our educational system in every state of the union. They have altered history to suit their own needs. They teach only what they want to teach and above all, they don't teach our kids logic, to reason things out for themselves. So, we probably should address that problem early on. Kids may act dumb, but they're not: educate them on the lies they are being fed and teach them how to discern fact from fiction. If you manage to teach them only one lesson in life, that is by far the most valuable.
The next class of people you need to educate includes everyone who works for the local, county, state or federal government or who is a politician. They need to learn that we have had it with their lack of patriotism and their total disregard for doing their jobs correctly. They need to be informed that they are on our radar and that we mean serious business. No politician in his or her right mind will count what you have to say out if you are sincere in what you say and you say it often enough.
We then need to address our friends, our families and associates. We do not have to grab them by the throats and shake them down, like we have had done to us. But, we need to let them know where we stand on major issues. Odds are, they feel the same way but have been hesitant, like the rest of us, to open our yaps.

A good place to start getting vocal is with friends or on the Internet. Pick a subject that you are familiar with and start voicing your opinions. You will soon be comfortable talking about how you feel about certain things. If someone starts asking you about your opinions on subjects you don't feel comfortable talking about, there's nothing wrong in saying so.
It won't be long before you recognize when someone is spinning the truth or outright telling a fib. That's a good time to let them know that you disagree, and to politely explain why. Don't get into a yelling match; the loudest yeller proves only that he knows how to yell. But, it is important that misinformation be countered; otherwise, onlookers may mistakenly believe that the other person is correct.
I think it is vitally important that you don't get rattled. You can always shut the conversation down if you are starting to feel uncomfortable or unsure of yourself. "You're getting in to some areas that I'm not well-educated on, so I'd just as soon suspend the conversation so I can bone-up on it. I for one believe in discussing from a point of knowledge as opposed to sheer rhetoric." And don't be afraid to challenge with, "You may be right, but I'd like to see where it says that," or "when that happened."
Another reason we need to get vocal is that people start believing their own lies after they tell them often enough.

I've always believed that if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. Here we are, more than three years down the road since ObamaCare was passed, and still trying to get it repealed. Let's suppose we were to be successful; what are we going to replace it with?
We all know that our healthcare costs were skyrocketing before ObamaCare came along; ObamaCare just made that problem worse. So, what solution does the Republican Party propose to fix that problem? Well, I haven't heard of any proposed solution, either. And that's my rub.
While it's easy to sit on the sidelines and criticize, leadership comes through providing workable solutions. Defunding ObamaCare simply gives impetus to their argument that the Republicans are obstructionists and don't have any answers. Taking it one step further,if they don't have any answers, who needs them in office? They are only setting themselves up to win a battle and lose the war.
ObamaCare is so rife with the possibilities of abuse and corruption that it should be trashed. It is the single worst piece of legislation ever passed by this government in the entire history of the nation. Yet, as the other side is now vocalizing quite well, "You may not like it, but it's the law. Get used to it."
The real answer to the dilemma is to come forth with a viable alternative and set things in motion to take solid control of the Senate in 2014 and then to come with new legislation to repeal it AND replace it.

Last Thursday and Friday, I started talking about how WE can make a change and start reversal of our nation's course toward outright government control and pure Socialism. I left off Friday by starting the discussion of steps to implement our strategy, beginning with getting vocal.
Let's face it: we've been outshouted and dominated by zombie nitwits and dimwits spewing nonsense, hatred, racism and elitism fed to them by those who would love to see America decline into oblivion or, better yet, come under control of the New World Order. Continuing to remain members of the "silent majority" is only furthering their cause; they win by default. A good place to start, because the first time you open your yap you're going to hear the "political correctness" speech, is to ask where in the Bible it says you have to be politically correct when saying what needs to be said?
I do understand that we have been deliberately forced into timidity. So, how do we get out of it?
Stick your toe in the water. See the ripple? Even a small beginning can have a profound impact. You don't have to search for a battleground to get started. Start by asking questions of those who feel like you do about our country and listening to how those other people respond. If you don't understand a point they make, ask for an explanation so that you can transform their words into your own.
Put your thoughts into print. Participate on someone else's blog or, better yet, start your own; you can do it for free and you can remain anonymous. Do not fear that they are going to challenge you and win; by and large, they know less about your subject than you do and their positions are echoes of some other liberal who doesn't know what he's saying either. And, if they do challenge you and you are unsure of yourself, dust them off and go brush up on your subject. There are worlds of thoughts and explanations out here on the Internet.
My favorite line is, "Reasonable people don't get confrontational over it and start yelling and screaming, so I'd rather not discuss it." Don't get dragged into arguments you cannot win; arguments seldom reach good conclusions, whereas discussion and dialogue do. And, if there's someone in your life who feels that you absolutely must conform to their view of the world, rid yourself of the burden and seek someone who can be a better friend to you in life.
More Wednesday. Tomorrow, I want to discuss why I am against any attempt to defund ObamaCare.

I'm sure you've watched movies about the Chicago Mob; maybe you even took in some Walter Winchell expose's on the mobs. How about "THE UNTOUCHABLES?"
Surely you know that they never "ratted" each other out. No one ever spoke the truth about what was going on. As far as mob rule, they did what they wanted, when they wanted and without regard for the law. And, they wouldn't hesitate to whack their best friends in order to further their agenda.
Does that sound familiar?
You have all kinds of illegal, unethical activity going on in every agency of the Executive Branch, and you have the untouchable Eric Holder running interference for all of them. Holder has successfully stymied Fast & Furious, the Benghazi Massacre, I.R.S., N.S.A. and even his own D.O.J. Congressional inquiries. He lied under oath to Congress on at least one very blatant occasion. The one time Congress did call Holder's fanny to tell the truth, the President injected himself and declared that Holder has "Executive Privilege."
The President has made it clear that he will do what he wants; either Congress had better follow his instructions, or he will just simply cut them out of the equation by issuing an "Executive Order." He's used it numerous times before and has yet to be called on it. He just did an "in-your-face" totally illegal and unconstitutional change in the law to pay his Congressional cronies back by exempting them from provisions of ObamaCare that we ourselves must follow.
Marco Rubio recently suggested that if Obama doesn't get Congressional Amnesty for illegals soon, he will just issue an Executive Order and do it that way; who would stop him?
Our President is spying on us. That's illegal. He denied the N.S.A. has been spying on us. Thursday, we got the news that an internal investigation at N.S.A. discovered 2,700 instances of "accidental" intrusions into our privacy last year alone. Yesterday, we learned further that this number covered one N.S.A. location only. Further, we discovered last week that the I.R.S. continues in it's illegal treatment of conservative organizations and individuals, three months after the scandal broke.
So what? Who's going to stop them? Elliott Ness has been dead for years.

Yesterday, I talked about how it is up to us to undo all of the damage that has been done to our country by the recent Administrations. Frankly, my friends, I think we are going to have to do it without the Republicans; their track record over the last two elections has been less than stellar, and they show no signs of coming to grips with their identity or their outdated hierarchy. I'm on the verge of having to say that we're going to have Hillary as our next President whether we like it or not. So, whatever it is that we are going to have to do must consider that the White House will remain under control of liberals.
Our goal, therefore, is simple: we must get rid of every stilted, no good, liberal-spending, two-faced Member of Congress. Yes, that means we're going to have to turn out about 95% of them, regardless of party. But, they key here is not to replace them with new faces that are just like them. We need fresh ideas, fresh faces and energetic down-to-earth real Americans.
Well, you might counter that anyone who fits that description doesn't want to run for office. That's our job: find them and convince them that, as Americans who share our beliefs and our values, they MUST run.
Now, I can hear you say: "Is this guy a nutcase, or what? How can we do this?" It's a simple fact: if you don't do it, who will? That's where we start... with you. You, and me, and our friends, relatives, neighbors must no longer be content living life under the label of "silent majority." We are going to have to get vocal.

Ah ha! I caught you. As soon as you saw the headline, you first thought to yourself, "Oh, no, not this crap again already." Then, you automatically either thought of Hillary or Ben Carson. Well, forget Ben Carson; the Republican Party will vilify him because they want Christie or Bush.
But, that's not where I'm coming from. I'm guessing that Hillary has the damned job, if she wants it, because the Republicans are still trying to figure out if they want to unify with the Democrats or not.
Where I'm coming from is: Can we manage to attract and elect the people to Congress who will reverse the terrible things that have been done to this country? That, my friends, is where we all need to be coming from.
Now, I am pleading with you as an American: don't back away from this. Don't you dare turn your back on our country. You know fully well, and I know, that we need to work together to reverse all of these damned things that have been done to us and we need to start now, today.
I leave you with that thought, something for you to ponder, until tomorrow. Where shall we start?

I'm guilty of it and undoubtedly, you are too. Most Americans I know these days have a bad attitude, about our economy, our government, our President, our borders... you name it.
If there's one thing I've discovered in life, it's that a bad attitude breeds bad outcomes. When you see someone who constantly acts as if there were a cloud over their head, you not only can almost see that gray cloud, but you know they're constantly in a world of hurts. So it is with America: we all have a bad attitude and we all know why that is.
Likewise, I know that people who change their bad attitudes also change their luck. A whole new positive atmosphere in their life is created. That's what we need to do as a country, to change our attitude. For one thing, we all know things cannot get much worse for this country. So, that's a positive; things have to get better. For another, this s.o.b. in the White House cannot get reelected, so that's another positive.
If we start looking at the positive things we have going for us, we can turn things around. Let's start being positive about things and emphasizing those good things to our friends, families and neighbors. Let's put a smile on our faces and turn our country around.

It came as a big surprise to most Americans that the N.S.A. was actually spying on our communications. It came as another big surprise the the I.R.S. was actually in cahoots with the Federal Election Commission in attempting to influence the outcome of the 2012 elections. We were flabbergasted to learn that the Department of Justice was illegally tapping into the conversations of members of the Associated Press and FOX NEWS. Then there was the E.P.A. and the D.H.S. All of these things surprised us and made us angry. Of course, we should not overlook Fast & Furious or the Benghazi Massacre, two stories where the Administration has been blatantly flipping the rest of the country and Congress off.
Obviously, there is a coordinated and highly secret secondary government, unaccountable to the American public, that is running the country. Everyday, we see things happen that defy our Constitution. A President ignores the call of duty and gets on a plane to campaign in Vegas while four Americans die under enemy fire in Benghazi; then he flagrantly lies about it. Members of Congress take firm positions in the face of adversity, only to cave in and capitulate in the final moments. Why? Who got to them?
What is this secret government and who is running it?

We haven't heard any news to speak of since the deadly earthquake and tsunami which set into motion the world's worst nuclear disaster over two years ago. We are now hearing about the continued pumping of fresh water onto the contaminated plant which results in over 300 tons of radioactive contaminated water going into the ocean every day. The plant has been leaking radiation ever since March, 2011, when the earthquake and tsunami knocked out its cooling systems and led three of four reactors to
melt down. Since then, the plant's operators, have been unable to repair the walls and floor of the underground
enclosures in which the reactors are situated because it’s still too
dangerous for a human to work there for extended periods.
The latest idea for stopping the flow of contaminated water into the sea
is to freeze the soil around the reactor buildings to create a
mile-long barrier to stop more groundwater from becoming radioactive, a
plan that could cost upwards of $400 million.
I'm no engineer, but it seems to me that that if you are pumping water that is going back into the sea, and you prevent that by freezing the soil around the facility, the nuclear contaminated water still has to go someplace. There are justified complaints that the plant operators are being too slow in coming to grips with the cleanup. There is no word on how many people have actually died from radioactive poisoning over the years. Recent tests of domestic water wells in the area show contamination hundreds of times above safe drinking levels.
What we have here is a nuclear disaster that should have never occurred. We know that training and safety procedures were not in place to deal with the probability of such an earthquake in the area and that the plant equipment did not respond automatically to shut the reactors down. It appears that we have the operators in denial and a government incapable of dealing with the worsening situation.
I believe that nuclear energy, properly installed and managed, is a safe method for manufacturing electrical energy at reasonable costs. But, like any potentially dangerous undertaking, you have to have the proper training and systems in place in the event of something going wrong. I am concerned about the effects of the contamination on the seas and ocean life in the area. The world community needs to put high pressure on resolving this disaster at the earliest possible moment.

No one in this country has had the guts to say it, so I will: We have been infiltrated by terrorists and we have been infiltrated by Mexican drug cartels. Our borders are wide open and both have managed to get their operative agents into the country. Just as terrorist cells exist, the cartels have been forging alliances with prison gangs and have begun recruiting and training U.S. teens; likely cartel targets have been dug up from illegal graves as far north as Oregon. An alleged Mexican cartel hit-man was apprehended by U.S. law enforcement
and claimed to have committed over thirty murders in the U.S. for the
cartels. A Mexican cartel even sent goons to kidnap a man on U.S. soil,
sneak the victim back into Mexico across the Rio Grande River, and then
allegedly execute the victim — even after they realized they had
kidnapped an innocent man.
The cartels also have forged ominous ties with Islamic Jihadists and terrorist organizations. The risk to our country has increased dramatically and our President has yet to come to grips with that fact. Either faction is dangerous; both factions working together spell serious consequences for America. Our borders must be secured now.

The three 15-year-old blacks who attacked a 13-year-old white student on a Florida school bus have finally been charged with assault and theft, according to authorities. The victim suffered two black eyes and a broken arm in the July 9th attack, which has been kept under wraps. The attack allegedly took place because one of the three blacks had tried to sell the white boy drugs and he reported the incident.
The only outrage comes from people asserting the bus driver, a 64-year-old man, should have been trying to intervene; school policy dictates otherwise.
Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson are strangely silent. So far, the white boy has learned that it does not pay to report crimes involving blacks.

If you were there at Benghazi, you have been threatened and your family has been threatened: talk and you're in deep shit. If you're a reporter and someone leaks a story to you that the Administration doesn't like, you'd better reveal your sources or you will be going to prison. If you are the source and you know something the rest of American needs to know and has the right to know, you'd better never tell anyone because if they finger you, your life will be ruined. If you catch someone in the Administration doing something wrong or telling a lie and you open your flappin' mouth, you will be ostracized and marginalized and probably run out of town.
Threats and intimidation... Doesn't this all sound as if we have already lost our freedoms and democracy?
Knowing what we know now about the Department of Justice, the I.R.S. and the N.A.S., as well as the draconian restrictions and arm-twisting against Benghazi witnesses, do you think this Administration is capable of gathering information about Members of Congress, and then threatening them to reveal the information if they don't vote they way they are told to?
When this blog disappears, will you ask why?
The next step, you know, is to simply start throwing people in prison or lining them up and shooting them.
Folks, we need to do something about where we're at in this country and we need to do it now.

I was watching FOX NEWS this morning and a segment about a guy who has invented the cure to the world's food crisis. That's what started me to think about the real high price of conflict. I'm talking about conflict not war, although war is a type of conflict.
Conflict is what keeps attorneys rich, gun sales going, psychiatrists
busy and fists flying.
Supposing we were able to wave the magic wand and make conflict disappear. How many trillions of dollars would that save around the world in defense budgets? Supposing we were able to end divorces; how many billions of dollars would that save us around the world in attorney fees? You get the picture.
Imagine all of that money being put to the use of eliminating world poverty, improving technology, solving the energy problem... on and on.
I've often wondered why it is that we humans insist on being in conflict. Why is it that we cannot live in harmony? Here we are with wireless telephones, telescopes that peer billions of miles into space, medical advances beyond our wildest imaginations and all kinds of technological and scientific advances that our ancestors surely never even dreamed of. Why is it that, with these solutions to different aspects of our lives, we cannot live in peace with each other?
Raising a fist in anger is the first step to world war. There are those, like our President and like radical Muslims everywhere, who cannot stand to have things run smoothly, peacefully; they deliberately stir the pots and fan the fires of dissent and conflict. And, we fall into the trap of voicing our frustrations and anger at the dirty deeds and rhetoric they manufacture. Voices grow louder, violence ensues, armies are created, war is waged... and the poor suffer, the advancement of our society suffers and harmony eludes us.
Is there no end to this merry-go-round? Is the only conceivable answer to wage war against those who cannot tolerate peace and harmony until every last one of them is extinguished from the face of the earth? And after that, to kill off all of the kids who throw rocks on the playground or raise their voices in conflict? Is that the only answer we can contemplate?

The 7.4% unemployment rate being ballyhooed by the Administration is a flat out lie. I pointed out several months ago that Obama had changed the method of calculating the unemployment rate. Here are the facts: America remains mired in the Great Obama Depression. The true numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show an America that is in economic collapse.
Almost 90 million Americans are out of a job. The workforce participation rate — the percentage of adults who are
participating in the work force — dropped again in July. It is now 63.4
percent, down from 63.5 percent; over one third of American adults are
not in the labor force. Only 47% of working American adults have full-time jobs. 2.7 million Americans are in temporary jobs. The actual unemployment rate using the same measure used prior to the sneaky Obama switch is over 14%.
These continued lies and misrepresentations are of no comfort to Americans pounding the streets looking for work. They also fail to put food on the table, clothes on the back and a roof over your head.

Although Obama has, more than once, said the war on terror is winding down and Al Qaeda has been decimated, we are all aware of the continued and growing existence of Al Qaeda and similar terrorist organizations on an international stage. The alarm is being sounded over this weekend that an attack or attacks against American embassies in North Africa and the Middle East may take place; American travelers are being advised not to go to these places.
Recent revelations about our national security leads even the novice to conclude that we have changed our focus from nipping terrorist acts in the bud while overseas, to being ready to deal with terrorist activity here on our home soil. We're spending billions of dollars harvesting billions of bytes of data that we can hopefully cull through after an "event" and nail the perpetrators. That fact and the fact that we were given direct warnings to watch out for terrorist activities on the part of the Boston Bombers, but we turned our noses up at the information, leads me to believe that we are not currently well-equipped to deal with the actual threat.
Based on what has happened, I am not so sure that we know where all of the terrorist cells might be located here. We do know that our porous borders allow potential terrorists to virtually come and go as they please. It seems to me that an adequate intelligence program would not only know in advance who is crossing our borders and where they are going, but would also be actively capturing would-be terrorists before they even get to North American soil.
How does it calm our fears to be able to say, "Well, if they do attack, we have so much data that we'll be able to figure out who did it, who their accomplices were and where to capture them?"

Several times, the Democrats in Congress have made a run at avoiding losing their cushy, free Congressional health plans by going on ObamaCare. Several times, an uproar from the American public has caused them to dial their dastardly scheme back. Now, it appears they may have found a way to screw us anyway.
The legal experts agree that Members of Congress can no longer get their health coverage premiums paid for by the government. That amounts to an annual pay cut of $5,000 to $10,000 per Member when they go under ObamaCare. A House Democrat, speaking on condition of anonymity, said, “This
was a stupid provision that never should have gotten into the law.”
As the October deadline looms for signing up, staffers are said to be working overtime looking for ways to avoid the law. One method being considered is for the President to cover premiums out of "discretionary spending." While that may be against the law, Obama considers himself to be above the law. Taking it one step further, there is nothing in the law to keep a Member of Congress or a staffer from buying their own insurance that provides coverages and benefits far in excess of what ObamaCare provides. That being the case, you don't suppose the President would be paying for that additional insurance as well, do you?

Just when I thought we'd heard it all, with Elliott Spitzer and Anthony Wiener both deciding to seek public office again, along comes another salacious tidbit of information that threatens to put all of my sensors into overload. The events of the last few days have certainly provided great fodder for the water-cooler crowd, but this last drop of sexual causerie has to be the icing on the cake.
There's a tape surfacing, a tape that everyone involved thought had been destroyed years ago. The tape has Monica Lewinsky is a three or four minute snippet inviting Bill Clinton for a tryst. “I could take my clothes off and start…well…I know you wouldn’t enjoy
that? I hope to see you later and I hope you will follow my script and
do what I want,” Lewinsky reportedly said in the recording.
Well, we all know that Elliott and Anthony are both as guilty as hell and that Bill never did have sex with that woman. And we know that Anthony's wife Huma totally admires Bill's wife Hillary for standing behind him through all of that mess and that Bill and Hillary just want the Wieners to drop off the face of the earth.
As I write this, it is Wednesday of course, and I'm being bombarded with a damned camel walking around the office proclaiming that it's "hump day." Somehow, I think that's a fitting end to the post.
