Several people have said it. Now, I too can feel it in the wind. The country is waking up and coming to grips with the fact that something really, really bad is happening to our country, and they are starting to ask questions.

Back in the Nixon years, Nixon surrounded himself with people who had misguided egos and values. Eventually, as he ended his first term and started his second, they became a "shadow government," working behind the scenes to protect Nixon from the Watergate fallout. This in and of itself took on a life of its own that spiraled out of control and actually wrestled Presidential powers away from Nixon and abosorbed those powers like a sponge into that "shadow government."

What is happening today in the Obama Administration goes far beyond that; there is a new life brewing in Washington and it is very, very ugly and scary. Many of those in the "Circle of Power" are criminals, radical lft-wingers and even Communists. Why?

In the coming days, weeks and months, we patriotic Americans have the obligation to our forefathers, our children and ourselves to stare evil in the face and to have the audacity to stand up for what's right and what is in the best interest of our future. The circumstances that exist have our attention. Now, we need to quickly ask questions and learn how pervasive the problem has already become.

PELOSI SINKS TO DIRTY, ROTTEN DESPERATION

Ted Kennedy hadn't even been dead an hour yet when Nancy Pelosi issued a statement to the media and press to the effect that this country owes it to Kennedy to pass the Government-Run Health Care Plan right now, and she intends to see that, whatever it takes, it gets passed... right now.

Not only are these statements a direct disregard of what the country wants, but they show the true character of Pelosi in that she doesn't care what she does in order to get what she wants.

I never was a great fan of any of the Kennedy's, least of all Ted. But, I feel that this trade on Kennedy's name by Pelosi before he even has a funeral is a crude, rude, desperate act by a person with a very ugly and distorted view of what's right. She should be damned well ashamed of herself.

SHUT UP AND GET OUT OF THE WAY

Those words were actually spoken by our President of the United States, frustrated and exasperated because he’s been caught lying and conniving over the Government-Run Health Care Plan in the face of growing opposition. Obviously, he’s not used to losing and he doesn’t give a damn about you or what you think. This is not about what is right for the country, it’s about gaining control, at all costs.

Religion teaches us that charity begins at home. We are instructed to go out into the world and to work judiciously to bring home the bacon and to provide shelter, food, clothing and health care for our families. If we have funds left over, we examine the needs of our parents, brothers, sisters and other family members and we contribute to their needs. If we have money left over after that, we reach into our wallets and the dictates of our minds and souls and we help our fellow mankind.

Our President, a so-called Christian, wants to be the one to decide who gets help and who doesn’t. He wants that control. He operates under the premise that the people should have no choices. Oppression and repression ooze from ever pore of his body.

He has made no secret of his intent to transfer wealth in this country but, contrary to transferring it from the rich to the poor, he wants to transfer it from the rich to the government. He who has the money has the control.

His sinister pre-election remarks about the citizens “clinging to their religion and guns” is an open confession of his contempt for both. Both get in the way of government control, oppression and repression. The steps that are being taken by President Obama are leading us closer every day to becoming a Marxist state.

The religious community in the country, the Christians and Jews and other God-fearing righteous, are soon going to be forced into standing up and standing together in the face of this adversity, or forever be damned to hell for failing to do so. Why they seem to be content to keep their mouths shut… Why they seem to be content in getting out of the way… is beyond me.

I’d much prefer to stand up and be counted now as opposed to waiting until the only option is civil insurrection and anarchy.

PATRIOTIC AMERICAN EVIL-MONGERS DESERVE A PAT ON THE BACK

All of us who have been classified by the enemy within as being “Un-American, evil-mongering , mobster-type, misinformed” obstructionists… Take heart! We have not only successfully taken the first step toward the regeneration of American Democracy, but we have also made significant strides toward repairing the damages to our country’s foundation. For the first time in decades, the continued degradation of our liberties and freedoms has come to a grinding halt, and our “big-brother” government in Washington is not only flustered, but it’s mired in sheer terror.

The sleeping dragon has been awakened.

Now is the time for all good Americans to come to the aid of their country. Now is the time for the citizens to take back from the government what is rightfully theirs: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. All good Americans, whether Democrat or Republican or Independent, can share in the glory that once made this country great by working together in the national interests of restoring the power of government to the people.

We can, we must and we shall prevail!

This is OUR country, not theirs! These are OUR liberties, not theirs! These are OUR rights, not theirs! Those who continually seek to take these God-given powers of the people away must be forever silenced.

We must continue to be alert to the tide of government control that tugs away and erodes our rights. We must take heed to what they are saying and the lies and misconceptions they perpetrate. How can they blame us for not voting for their Government-run Health Plan? The President says 14,000 people a day are losing their health insurance, as if to say that alone is justification for government intrusion itself into our lives; he does not tell us that the 14,000 people losing insurance every day are losing it because that’s how many people are losing their jobs! The solution to that problem is not to allow government into our health decisions, but to put people back to work! The whole thing about the 14,000 people is an twist of the facts perpetrated on the American people for the sole purpose of forcing us to turn our health liberties and rights over to the government… And this is but one example of what they are saying and how they are misleading us every damned day.

It’s been going on for too many decades and it has to stop!

It is good that we have their attention. Now, we must have their jobs! We need to regenerate and refresh our Constitution by removing those we trusted to preserve it and who spat on it, twisted it, ignored it, and cheated on it... for years, and years, and years.

The momentum is in our favor. We must not be shouted or talked down. We can no longer be complacent in our duties to use OUR POWER as the governing body of this great country. We must consciously work together, to keep each other aware of what is going on, to get in their faces when they ignore the will of the people, to demand compliance with the Constitution and to restore this nation to what it once was.

This is our mission: Let’s roll!

PARASITES DON’T DESERVE GOVERNMENT HANDOUTS

Religion teaches us that those who refuse to get off their duffs and go seek work do not deserve the fruits of our labor. That is to say, if you are able-bodied and mentally fit, and you aren’t doing something productive in society, the government is totally wrong to take away from me and give to you.

Work does not need to be a job for a company or a business for one’s self. You can work for nothing while contributing to your fellow mankind and a productive society through church, or by volunteering service to community-oriented organizations and in working together toward a national foundation of liberty, freedom and justice. But, if you sit and do nothing, you deserve nothing.

Yes, there are those who, through no fault of their own, are physically or mentally unable to work. To those people, our hearts and souls go out and to those we voluntarily and cheerfully provide sustenance, shelter, clothing, care and comfort. All religious teachings instill charity in our hearts and souls. In fact, our government in the past has encouraged such giving by allowing us tax breaks for donations to qualified charitable organizations and foundations; our President now plans to remove that tax deduction.

To add insult to injury, our President and the Congress now seek to require those of us who do work to support those who do not. They further plan to provide free health care to 12-18 million illegals at our expense while, in the same broad stroke, reducing coverage for the nation’s elderly and terminally ill citizens. These plans affront our sense of ethics and morals and strike at the very foundation of our religious upbringings. It’s as if they do not think that God can see what they are doing and that, somehow, they will get away with it. Maybe they think that their power will blow Saint Peter totally off of his perch at the Pearly Gates.

But, religion also teaches us that we have an obligation to stand up and insist that the teachings of the Bible be followed, and should we fail to do so, we are just as guilty of the sin as if we did it ourselves. So, we not only have the right in this country to get into their faces and protest their wrongdoings, we also have the fundamental obligation to do so.

You deny me my American and God-Given rights to say what I think and feel, and you in the same breath say that I am too dumb to assess the facts and to discern the truth? When are you going to quit the inflammatory rhetoric and start openly discussing what the facts are about your health care plans instead of denying us.... American citizens, the right to know and to discuss?

CONGRESS, ADMINISTRATION SPREAD OUTRIGHT LIES ABOUT AMERICAN HEALTH PROTESTERS

Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barrack Obama have taken to accusing Americans who are voicing their concerns and protests about the Government Health Care cram-down of being “swastika-carrying mobsters who are nothing more than organized bullies being bused from Town Hall Meeting to Town Hall Meeting to cause confusion and disruption.” This open attack on American citizens underscores the utter contempt that these members of government have for Americans who stubbornly refuse to cow-tow to their orders and mandates. All three have been scowling, glowering, and stomping around the television scene like spoiled, pompous little kids in a sandbox who can’t have their own way.

Members of Congress have been canceling town hall meetings on the basis of public safety. One Senator thundered to an angry mob of protesters that, if they wanted to talk to him, they should call his office in Washington and make an appointment to talk with him one-on-one in private; otherwise, he said, he had no intentions of listening to them.

What in the world have we allowed our country to become?

RELIGION AND AMERICA: A New Series of Posts

I’ve actually been toying with this journalistic thrust for a week or two. The posting of the video berating President Obama had nothing to do with what I now have to say. But, it should be noted that there are tens of thousands of Americans who are so upset with where our country is today and where it is going tomorrow that they are actually talking about civil insurrection. I've heard the talk and it sickens me.

I am not a religious fanatic. I do not attend church, except for weddings and funerals, (similar in nature). I believe that organized religion in the country is straying from God’s teachings in a misguided effort to attract membership and donations. Yet, I do devoutly believe in God and in God’s teachings. I think that it is important here to insert a little known fact: the overwhelming majority of the founders of this country were religious theologians… ministers of differing faiths who all believed in God and in the teachings of the Bible.

It is in that spirit that I begin this series of comments regarding the current status of our country. We need to get back to the basics; we need to get back to the foundations upon which this country was created, and we as God-fearing citizens need to have the courage, the wisdom, and the fortitude to stand up in the face of opposition and to force our governing officials to subscribe to the premise that ours is a government of the people, by the people and for the people.

Our national leaders have seized from us the right to govern ourselves. They have tolerated the removal of broad-based religious symbols from our buildings, the banning of prayer in public places, the right of people to question and to be heard, the assertion of “political correctness” as a premise for governance and a litany of other offenses against the bulwark of our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution.

Our President does, in fact, present himself as being “The Messiah.” He is not humble before God, but seems to believe that he has been anointed and that he can force compliance with whatever it is that he commands. He does not appear to pray for guidance in the position of President, but to display contempt for those who “cling to their religion and guns.”

We are simply going to have to come to grips with the fact that this man, and far too many government officials surrounding him are totally okay with government funded abortion and government mandated euthanasia; these positions are fully contradictory to our beliefs, teachings and American patriotism. Now is the time when our beliefs are being tested as they have not been tested in centuries, and we need to stand strong and together in the face of adversity that threatens our country and our future.

Truly, now IS the time for all good men and women to come to the aid of their country.

MODERN THINKOLOGY: WHY OBAMA GETS AWAY WITH WHAT HE DOES

At my ripe old age, I only have three sins left: booze, cussing and the lotto. Let’s talk about the lotto.

I play $32 worth of tickets a week. Ever since Obama told me to stay out of Vegas, I’ve had to have something to do to occupy my time. Once a week, I go to the lottery store, buy tickets, and spend the rest of the week drinking, cussing and checking my numbers.

I was heading out of town and I needed to buy two weeks worth of lotto tickets. I was holding in my hand a $14 winning ticket from last week. The math here, which you can follow unless you are a far-left Liberal, is that I need $50 to buy lotto tickets. Got that, or do I need to repeat it? I understand, especially when it comes to national economics, that Obama uses fuzzy math, but I’m hoping that you at least finished grade school so that you can keep up with this college-level math for a little while longer.

The store was very busy and I had to wait a few minutes to get to the front of a long line. The gal ran my new purchases on the lotto machine…$64 worth. Then, she ran the winning ticket, $14.00. She came back to the register, where I had pulled out two new $20’s and a $10 bill. “That’ll be $64,” she announced.

I handed her the $50 and replied, “Less the $14 winner is $50, right?

“My register won’t let me do that. I need $64.”

“Well, you’re going to have to pay me back $14 then, so here’s $50 and that makes it easy.”

“No, I need the $64 first. Then, I can hit the refund button for $14 and give you $14 back.”

“Well, why don’t you hit the refund button first then, and give me the $14 and I’ll give you back $64?”

“The register won’t allow me to refund anything unless I run the charge first.”

“Well, what would happen if I just came in with the $14 winning ticket and just wanted $14?”

“Then, I’d hit the refund button and give you $14.”

“So, why don’t you do that to start off with now?”

“Because I ran the $64 on the lotto machine first, so I have to run that first on the register.”

“Well, what if I only have $50 on me?”

“Then, I’ll have to cancel everything out and you can come back later when you have the $64.”

So, I turned around to leave and noticed that every one who had been standing in line behind me… had left. Evidently, conservatives outnumber liberals in this part of California.

Please note, and I stand corrected, that some of the information in the July 29th posting is not correct, meaning that there is some incorrect info on the internet and we need to check what we are reading and writing for accuracy. I feel like a modern-day media representative. Sorry...

OLD FARTS HAVE FIVE MONTHS TO COVER THEIR MEDICAL BUTTS

When the new Government Health Care Plan takes effect, probably around January 1, 2010, the ball will start rolling to convert health care as we know it, into the new Obama Plan. Granted, it will take time to set up the new agency and related bureaucracy, and for the various oversight committees and government directorates to get their feet on the ground…let’s say five years. That’s about how long it will take for them to hire 200,000 administrators and to write and install the rules.

So, if you are 55 now, you will be 60 when things really start to get sticky. But, in the meanwhile confusion will reign. That means that no medical treatment or procedure is going to be given unless the initial rules say specifically that it’s okay. No one wants to risk jail by sticking their necks out.

The way I see it, if there is anything…any medical issue that you can possibly foresee, and if you will be 55 or over on January 1, 2010, you need to get it taken care of now, before it’s too late. After that, between January 1, 2010 and January 1, 2015, you’re going to get the answer to the effect that the rules are “unclear.” After January 1, 2015, you are going to get diddly squat because…you’ll definitely be an old fart. And, as we know, old farts won’t count.

As a matter of fact, and beginning in 2011 at the very latest, you’ll be visited by a community health representative, probably from ACORN, who will tell you what you are required to include in your Living Will in order to comply with the new regulations. This visit will not be an option; either you comply or your Social Security benefits will be terminated until you DO comply. Your Medicare benefits as they exist today will be gone; that’s part of the plan and your contributions to the plan under the contract America has had with you up to this point… don’t matter. The government can break any contracts it “needs” to break…. at will and that’s because whatever rights you have emanate from the government itself.

Simply put, you’d be well-advised to start stocking up on all of the pills you might ever possibly need right now. If you have a toenail that could, maybe, become ingrown by 2015, get it examined now. Any possible thing that could medically hurt you between now and the end of your life, you need to get treated now. Do not depend on your children or grandchildren to save the day, because they will have no choice in the matter.

Even if you have $100 million bucks….you will have to leave the country to see a doctor if you’re over 65.

You have five months left to cover your future medical needs. Do it now.
