Thank you for your email. Our contract with 21st Century Fox (Fox), the owner of Fox News and Fox Business, has expired and FOX has removed these channels from the DISH lineup.
Fox is attempting to leverage Fox News and Fox Business for increases in the rates we pay for other channels not included in this contract. In order to minimize the impact of these negotiations for you, our customer, DISH offered to extend the terms of the current contract with Fox while we continue to negotiate. However, Fox refused.
That said, we’ve had a productive relationship with Fox for many years and are confident that we can reach an agreement to restore these channels soon. We’ve reached agreements with many highly rated channel owners in the last year including with The Walt Disney Company, NBC Universal, and CBS Corporation.
