Would you like to know what the latest is on the Fukushima Nuclear Plant in Japan? Maybe you have some interest on how the war against ISIS is really progressing on the ground. How are the nuclear inspections going in Iran? What's the latest on anti-Christian terrorism in the Philippines? Did you know that Little Caesars is being sued by a Muslim because it has pork on some pizzas?
That's the point here: The newspapers and TV "news" outlets of this country would much prefer to come out with a scandalous headline story, such as "Trump Farts During Cabinet Meeting; Dozens Overcome With Noxious Fumes!!!" Once responsible news outlets have turned themselves into nothing more than sleazy tabloids, while the nightly news certainly must remind everyone of the early days of SESAME STREET.
In the meanwhile, while they are all creating their own little dimwitted heavens, the rest of the country is being dumbed down via lack of real news and objective reporting about major events going on around the world.
Why are we sitting still for this falderol?
