TRUMP REMINDS US OF A LESSON

When I was a lad, my parents taught me to always stand up for what is right.  I've always done that throughout my life, even losing a job over that principle.

The fact that we Americans have lost that mentality is why we are in the situation we are in, where our government is seizing the power of the people and converting that power to its own sinister purposes.  We should have been marching in the streets of Washington years ago, demanding that power be restored to the people and to the states, where it constitutionally belongs... but we didn't.

Look at where that got us.  We have a Congress which will not stand up to the president or to the Supreme Court and we have a country full of people who won't stand up to Congress or the president.  We have a government that tells us what we can and cannot say, how to practice our religions and when to sit down and shut up; and, like zombies, we do what we're told.

FOX NEWS was dead wrong.  Understanding that Megyn Kelly utterly despises Donald Trump and that she has used her Fox stardom as a platform from which to insert her personal views into the national political discussion, they should have never selected her to be on the stage during this last debate in the first place.

They could have used her as a moderator on the early debate and that would have prevented the showdown, but they didn't.  To me, it amounts to a deliberate attempt on the part of FOX NEWS to "put Donald Trump in his place."  When he complained about it, they compounded their arrogance by issuing a childish statement about Putin, the Iranians and Trump.  When he stood up for what was right and went ahead and withdrew from the debate,  Fox put the icing on the cake by trying to reach the women in his life and get them to coerce Trump into appearing.

Still trying to berate and beat Trump into submission, Fox launched an all-out effort to discredit him.  Trump must have read my blogs; he took my advice and staged an event to occur directly opposite the Fox debates; three major networks and two other GOP candidates showed up to his packed venue.

I'm going to go out on a limb and make two predictions: (1) This arrogant culture that has settled into the FOX NEWS boardroom and newsrooms is the beginning of their downfall... indeed, their ratings started to plummet during Thursday night's debates; (2) Americans are sick and tired of the lack of responsiveness in Washington and in the press, and they ARE starting to stand up and demand their own change and anybody who stands in their way is going to get mowed down.

Thanks for the reminder, Donald.  From now on, we're going to join you and STAND UP FOR WHAT IS RIGHT, for ourselves and for the good of America.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

FOX NEWS HAS BECOME DISGUSTING

SPECIAL POST

Just as it did in the first debate last August, Megyn Kelly and FOX NEWS had planned to sandbag Donald Trump on last night's debate, according to a report on WND.COM.  Fox had requested three viewers to ask questions during the debate.  One of them, a Nabela Noor, is a Muslim woman who has compared Trump to Adolf Hitler on her You Tube Channel.  She is also an ardent supporter of Bernie Sanders

FOX NEWS has sunk to a new low in journalism.  They are obviously interjecting their political views into their reporting and are, therefore, no better than NBC, MSNBC, CNN or NPR.

It's obvious here who is to blame for the Trump/FOX feud.  Trump got wind of the setup and elected not to appear.  FOX thought they could bully him into appearing, going so far as to try and contact his wife and daughter to assist them in this effort.

I'm sorry to report that it's shoddy journalism at its worst.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

THE BRITCHES DON'T FIT

SPECIAL POST

Sometimes we get so successful at what we are doing that we start to take our success for granted.  When you reach that point, however, you have usually reached your pinnacle of success and it's inevitably downhill from there.

Such is the case with FOX NEWS and with Megyn Kelly in particular.

When Kelly started her show Tuesday night, you could see the anger in the nostrils of her nose and the glare of her eyes; the very word "Trump" had sent her into a state of mind that I have only seen in women possessed by manic depression and bipolar disease.  She was livid.  Throughout the night and into yesterday, FOX anchors united solidly against Trump.  Roger Ailes is said to have tried to reach Trump's wife and his daughter to persuade them to get The Donald to straighten up and fly right.

Meanwhile, several polls show that 83% of FOX's audience are ticked off enough at the FOX response that they are not going to watch tonight's debate.  As of post time yesterday afternoon, several other candidates were considering being a "no show."  FOX's response has basically been, "We're FOX NEWS and we're not going to be told what to do by anyone."

Kelly has made no secret of her obsession against Trump and Trump has every right to decline to participate in a debate hosted by Kelly who would undoubtedly turn her position into a platform from which to make Trump look like an idiot, just as she did in the first FOX debates last August.

I stood behind FOX in its clash with DISH TV last year, going so far as to switch from DISH to DirectTV.  FOX was right in that instance but, they are dead wrong in this one.  No legitimate news source has the right to interject itself into a politics, but by its attitude, FOX has.  Evidently, neither Kelly nor the top dogs at FOX NEWS give a damn about how their audience feels about it.

They've both gotten way too big for their britches.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

THROW THE BUMS OUT

SPECIAL POST

We all know that we've had a lousy president.  Given that, I fear there are expectations that a new kid on the block will get everything back on the right track.  I argue that, as it stands, that's going to be next to impossible.

The obstacle here is a corrupt, useless gang of politicians coupled with a hoard of inept, runaway department and agency directors within the Executive Branch.  I don't think that simply replacing those directors is going to solve the problem, either; they, in turn, are faced with a cadre of embedded civil "servants" who have pretty much had complete reign over their respective fiefdoms and kingdoms for decades.  In order to get rid of those guys, new department heads and the new president are going to need the 100% support of a Congress that is willing to clean up our government's act.

Both houses of Congress and both political parties have been complicit in the systemic devastation of our country.  The whole thing, from the White House and its various agencies to Congress, has become a culture of  "holier-than-thou" and "we can do what we please" elitists.  They're all so busy scratching each other's backs so they can get what they want that all limits and boundaries of governmental propriety have been erased.  In fact, Congress has caved in to Obama's agenda so many times that I am inclined to think the whole scenario is nothing but an elaborate dog and pony show.  "You pretend to be mad at me, I'll pretend to be mad at you, and we'll just go ahead, appear to cave in and then do what we want.  The public will never figure it out."

That's why I say, "everybody's got to go."  Every elected government official who is up for reelection this year needs to be tossed out into the streets.  They need to be replaced by responsible and capable individuals who are patriots and who are willing to roll up their sleeves and work together to restore our government to being one truly "of the people, by the people and for the people."  Collectively, they also need to work hand-in-hand with the new president to rout out the miscreants from the ranks of the various departments and agencies.  Without that cooperation and dedication, it just isn't going to get done.

We're the ones who have to make all of this happen and we need to be engaged in the process right now, searching for and recruiting the best candidates for the House and the Senate we can possibly find.

We can do this.  Our ancestors, those who came before us and fought tooth and nail to establish and define this nation, surely are entitled to expect no less.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

THE ANTI-TRUMP VITRIOL

SPECIAL POST

We are exactly one week away from the Iowa State kickoff of the big game, the presidential election process.  Donald Trump is maintaining his lead in the polls, being about 10-12% higher than Ted Cruz in Iowa.  And out of the woodwork, dozens of heretofore silent voices are screaming that anybody except Trump needs to be the nominee.  From the sounds of it, some of those guys would endorse a cockroach for president before they'd endorse Donald Trump.

Hillary has even come out and urged that it's now time for this country to elect its first woman president; I presume she was not advocating for Fiorina.  We did elect our first Black president and now it's time for a woman, she says.  Well, look what we got when we got the first Black president.

What gets in my craw is that these loons obviously don't give a damn about the fact that Trump seems to be the guy the people want.  In this loud uproar, they're telling us that we are too dumb to make up our own minds.  Collectively, they're the reason we're in the mess we're in; this country belongs to the people and not to them.

I'm glad to see Americans not only making their own decisions, but also standing up and letting the powers-that-be know that we're sick and tired of what they've done to our country.

Maybe something BIG is about to happen?

That's  MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectively submitted.

LET US BEGIN OUR REIGN OF TERROR

SPECIAL POST

Next week, the first of the nation's referendums on the state of the Union will begin in earnest with the Iowa caucuses.  From that point forward, the results will, state by state, render the citizens' verdict about how we feel regarding the White House, the Congress and the Supreme Court.

Frankly, it's time to clean house.

We can do this.  We can, collectively, restore dignity and propriety to our halls of government.

The national approval ratings for our Congress, the Supreme Court and the White House are in the basement.  It would be to our own disgrace if we were to reward the bastards in Washington with anything less than an all-out rout, removing every elected official that we possibly can and setting the stage for the appointment of more-qualified Constitutional law scholars to the Supreme Court Bench.

Every spare moment that we have needs desperately to be devoted to the study of who the candidates are and where their money is coming is coming from.  When we step into the voting booths in November, we need to know exactly who it is we are going to vote for and why we are voting for them.

Let us, "we the people," now strike fear in the hearts of every damned politician in the country, because the future of our country is truly in our hands.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

TRUMPED

Like all of you, I've been very interested in politics these past months.  Given the real current state of the union, I'm sincerely concerned about the future of our country.

I do wish a couple of more would have entered the Democrat race; as it is, the three candidates seem to be trying to convince Americans that they are better qualified than the others to screw up the country some more.  I wouldn't vote for any of them to be dog catcher, because I like dogs.

When I look at the Republican candidates... first of all, I'm dismayed that so many decided to jump into the race.  I think a lot of time was wasted by all of us in the first few months trying to figure out who was a viable candidate who we also liked.  But finally, as we head toward the Iowa caucuses, the race seems to have narrowed down to two, Trump and Cruz.

I think Cruz means well and that he has excellent credentials.  I do have concerns about his not reporting that loan from Goldman Sachs and I do think he needs to get this birth question resolved.  He could have done that through the courts before he announced his candidacy, but he chose not to do so and that bothers me; it doesn't sound to me like he is as proactive as I would like a president to be. If there's a potential problem, you need to deal with it as early as possible, before it metastasizes like a cancer.

You also have to have some flexibility as president, to be able to negotiate solutions to the nation's problems.  I think Cruz demonstrated that he is stubborn to the nth degree, and we have a president in office right now who is of a similar ilk; it's either his way or the highway.

I've been teetering on the edge of coming out for Trump for several weeks.  I think the last few days have swayed me over the fence.  I'm sick and tired of all of these would-be political gurus coming out of the crevices and telling me why I should not vote for Trump.  These are the same yokels who pooh poohed my trepidations about Obama back in 2008 and who now run around screaming "Why didn't anyone warn us?"  They're the ones who continue to sit on the sidelines wringing their wrists in dismay while they do nothing about it.

That, in and of itself, is reason enough for me to vote for Trump.

But, I also look at the things that need to be addressed by a new president in short order, and that list is long. To top it off, the new guy on Pennsylvania Avenue is going to have to wade through one helluva pile of muck before he can start to make some progress.  Of all of the candidates, I conclude that Trump is the best prepared.

I've got a nice, new, red cap my son sent me for Christmas and I'm wearing it as I finish this post.  Count me in for Trump.

Go ahead, you twits in the hierarchy of the GOP... shudder in your boots; I don't care.  You reap what you sew.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

BURNEY IS ON THE MAP

SPECIAL POST

Burney is a small town of about 3,000 people in northeastern California; it's an out-of-the-way place in the foothills of the Cascades,  a lumber town with high unemployment and a sagging economy.  But, Burney is one of those towns with a huge heart and a savvy soul where everyone in the rat-race of the world really wants to live.

So, when the national commander, the Commander-in-Chief of the largest veteran's organization in the country, the VFW, showed up yesterday to pay a visit, the town opened up its arms in welcome.  Veterans from all over the Intermountain area showed up to pay their respects... VFW, American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, VFW Auxiliary... even veterans who don't belong to any organization showed up.

John A. Biedrzycki Jr. has command of a huge organization, but you'd never know it once you met him.  He's down-home people with one thing on his agenda... service to veterans.

Burney was honored to be in his presence.  God Bless the U.S.A.

NATIONAL ECONOMIC EMERGENCY?

SPECIAL POST

The Chinese economy is in such deep trouble that it has devalued its currency and its stock market is heading for the commode.  The U.S. stock market has started off the new year with the deepest loss in New Year's history.  Now, French President Francois Hollande is declaring France to be in a "national state of economic emergency" due to national unemployment and the influx of refugees from terrorism.

Both Japan and Germany also have faltering economies.  This means that the top five world economies are having perilous economic woes.

Economists in the United States are trying to put a good face on it, but even FOX BUSINESS guru Trish Regan is wondering if something big and nasty is not on the horizon.  And our president, who is always right and never wrong, is running around like the cock of the walk proclaiming that the country's economy is cured.

There needs to be a market reversal very soon, or we could end up in far worse shape than the condition we were in when Obama took office.

YAHOO DESERVES THE TOILET

SPECIAL POST

Yahoo Chief Executive Officer Marissa Mayer stepped into it big time.  Yahoo has been tanking in the market and on their financial statements, and employees are worried about their future. She recently said there would be "No layoffs... this week."

Given the company's decline, 10% or more of the company's jobs could be on the chopping block, and we all know that there just are not that many jobs out there in the marketplace.  So, it's cruel to try and make the matter into a joke.

If that's the way the stockholders want to see their employees treated, with such disregard and insensitivity to their legitimate concerns, they deserve to be unionized.  When you treat your employees like dirt, they have every right to bite back.

Such management attitudes are symptomatic of a sick business culture.  No wonder they're in trouble.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

SPECIAL POST

I've let this simmer on the back burner of my expansive subconscious ever since Obama's State of the Union Address.  Now, it's coming to a boil.

I think back to when Herman Cain was leading the polling, and how the Republican establishment did everything they could to undermine his candidacy and to install their favorite, Mitt Romney, who promptly led the Party in the opposite direction from the White House in 2012.   I think back to the 2008 elections and how the "establishment" did everything possible to dump Fred Thompson and Mike Huckabee and to stick John McCain in the nomination slot, and how that move led to the election of Barack Hussein Obama.

In 2016, the "establishment" is bound and determined to get Jeb Bush on the ticket and Donald Trump is striking fear in the ranks of the Party's elite.  And although they publicly backed away from any thought of dumping Trump, they could not resist the temptation to lash out and start an undermining campaign against him during their rebuttal to the State of the Union address.  Never mind the fact that Trump continues to tenaciously hang on to the lead in the polls; never mind that the if the split in the Party continues, Hillary could end up being a shoo-in.... they want Bush on the ticket.

Well, I'd like to say they deserve another disaster, and they do.  But, that's something this nation cannot live through;  allowing Hillary to win will seal the fate of the union, carrying Obama's legacy through another eight years of national hell.  We simply cannot sit by on our haunches and watch them do this to the country.

To hell with them.  Every member of the Republican "establishment" needs to be removed from office.  And the Party needs to unite before the bottomless toilet gets flushed in November.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

BLM FAILS

SPECIAL POST

The Bureau of Land Management, long at odds with ranchers and farmers in the west over the management of federal grazing and ranching lands, has been involved in a massive failure of one of its fundamental duties... the protection of wild horses.   The BLM, under pressure from animal welfare activists, has finally admitted that it sold about 1,800 wild horses to a Colorado rancher who subsequently sent them off to Mexican slaughter houses, a clear violation of federal law.

The rancher, Tom Davis, has close ties to Obama's former Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar.  Davis made a $154,000 profit and the taxpayers picked up the $140,000 transportation costs.  After review, the Department of Justice has decided not to pursue criminal or civil charges against those involved.

The flagrant disregard for the law by Obama and those in his charge is most insidious.  We must never again allow ourselves to elect such a dangerous person to the presidency, or such corrupt wusses to Congress.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

BENGHAZI: THE REAL LOSERS

The families of Ambassador Chris Stevens, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods have been denied a legitimate explanation of what really happened at Benghazi.  Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have stonewalled every attempt by Congress to get to the bottom of it and Clinton has actually called the families liars for saying that she promised them she would get the facts out.  Clinton blamed the irrelevant internet video for the attack, an explanation she knew for a fact was false at that time.

Reporter Sharyl Attkinson, who has been investigating the massacre ever since it occurred, now feels that there is sufficient evidence to show that a rescue operation was actually on the way to Benghazi and was recalled... presumably by the White House.

The families want closure and they want to know that steps will be taken to prevent a future repeat; that is a very reasonable request, but Obama and Clinton have no intentions of  coughing up the facts.

Somebody belongs in prison.

OBAMA'S NEW BENGHAZI

SPECIAL POST

We all know the story about Benghazi: about how our U.S. Ambassador to Libya was hung out to dry along with three others by Obama and Clinton: about the infamous video story and about the cover up that continues to this day.  We know that American forces were within range and pleading for approval to go to the rescue of those in Benghazi, but that they were denied.  The lies, the story, the cover up... they all smelled like a dead fish.

Now come ten sailors off the coast of Farsi, and it looks like Benghazi all over again.
  • An engine on one of their two boats broke down and they drifted into Iranian waters?  Why didn't the other vessel toss the disabled vessel a line and tow it?
  • Why didn't they radio for help?  Or did they, and were they told to "stand down?"
  • Why wasn't help provided by the Navy or with air cover?
  • Why did we allow the Iranians to board our vessels, tow our sailors to Farsi and then detain them?
  • Why didn't Obama mention this ongoing, tense matter in his State of the Union speech?
  • What was the real reason they were released... was it because Iran wanted its $100+ billion-dollar payout Monday, or because Kerry used his magnanimous influence?
  • Why did WE apologize to Iran for their illegal acts?

Just like before... this smells like another dead fish.

I'm sick and tired of a runaway dictator in the White House and a self-absorbed Congress that has the temerity to let him get away with it.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

THE DAMNED REPUBLICAN ESTABLISHMENT

SPECIAL POST

The top brass within the Republican Party has still not received the message: Party members are sick and tired of their two-bit, lousy leadership.

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell handpicked Nikki Haley to give the Republican response to Obama's State of the Union Address and basically advised her that she needed to use her response as a platform to go after Donald Trump; and that she did.  “I’m very thankful Speaker Ryan and Senator McConnell let me give the speech I wanted to give.” When asked if the GOP leaders approved of her text in advance, she confirmed, “They did.”  Haley says Trump is guilty of "irresponsible talk."

Irresponsible talk?  Talking about the issues that the Republican hierarchy doesn't want to talk about, like illegal immigration, the borders, the debt... such discussions are "irresponsible?"

THAT does it.  I'm just about two sentences away from going out on a limb and endorsing Trump for president.  If that's what it will take for those idiots to get the message, then....

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

SUPREME COURT TO RULE AGAINST UNIONS?

SPECIAL POST

I believe in the fundamental purpose of unions, being to keep employees from being treated like dirt by their employers.  But, there was a time when unions had so much power in this country that they actually struck fear in the hearts of most Americans.

One of the things they got on was the ability, in many states, to force non-union members to pay union dues if they worked for union shops.  In turn, tons of that dues income was used to buy union influence in political parties, thereby ensuring that enacted laws would favor organized labor.  Ten non-union school teachers filed suit to stop unions from extracting fees from them to support political and other causes with which they disagreed.

That matter is now before the Supreme Court and there are indications the Court will rule in their favor.  Such a ruling could strip public sector unions of millions of dollars, reducing their income and political power.

I don't believe anybody in this country should be forced to pay for political campaigns; I do believe dues money should be used to pay for the administrative costs associated with the management of the unions and the advancement of union objectives excluding politics.   People of any political persuasion should have equal rights to union protections.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

CRUZ IN TROUBLE

SPECIAL POST

I like Ted Cruz but, as I've said before on this blog, he has a cloud hanging over his head... whether or not he is a "natural born citizen" within the definition of the presidential requirements under the Constitution.

He has been shrugging the issue off by saying his mother was a U.S. citizen and that makes him a U.S. citizen regardless of where he was born.  I don't contend that, but is he a "natural born" U.S. citizen if his birth took place out of the country, as it did; he was born in Canada. Thomas Lee of Fordham Law School wrote an op-ed for the Los Angeles Times on Sunday saying the Texas Republican must use a “living Constitution” theory in order to convince voters he is eligible to be commander in chief. Cruz considers himself an originalist.

Strict Constitutional Law says that the Constitution means what it says and it is the job of the Court to apply such law to issues which come before it.  The "living Constitution" theory says that the Constitution is subject to being interpreted differently as the years go on and things change.  That theory is not provided for by the Constitution, which does provide for changing the Constitution through the process of Amendment.  Thomas Lee, contrary to what Cruz and his attorneys think, feels that Cruz could be tossed out of the presidency if the courts rule against him.  Indeed, Democrats would argue that Cruz could not even take office until the issue was settled.

Cruz could have resolved this issue long before he announced his candidacy by asking for a court ruling in advance.  He chose not to do so, but to rely on his own attorney's interpretation.  That was a dire mistake; is he going to make more of them in the Oval Office?  I'm a strict Constitutionalist, but I think there's more than a reasonable chance that the courts would eventually rule in his favor.  In the meanwhile, unfortunately, there would be this cloud over his head, just as there was over the citizenship issue with Barack Obama in the first years of his presidency.

When I go into the voting booth, I want to know that whoever I vote for is going to be able to devote his full, unfettered attention to straightening the horrible mess that Obama is leaving us with.  I don't need him or her to be in the middle of contentious litigation.  I think that, when the rest of Americans realize the import of this issue, they will agree with me.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

MY POLITICAL OPINION

SPECIAL OPINION

The Republican establishment, the Conservative elite and the Democrats are now joining the chorus against Donald Trump.

Frankly, I don't trust or like any of those yokels.  The fact that they're trying to politically assassinate Trump leads me more and more to support him.  I WANT them to be afraid of SOMETHING, because they are destroying America second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour and day by day.

It appears that Clinton is about to be sidelined by issues of her own making.  Sanders is beyond reality.  As much as I like Cruz, I've got to know that his birth issue is going to mire his presidency down in a legal battle for months and perhaps years.  That leaves my short list at this point as being Trump, Carson and Rubio, in that order.

Stay tuned as we head for Iowa.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

WE DON’T NEED ANOTHER LIAR AND CON-ARTIST IN THE WHITE HOUSE

Oozing out yesterday in a typical late Friday afternoon bad news release came word that Hillary knew a particular piece of information she needed was classified, that the sender was having trouble emailing it to her unsecure personal server, and that Hillary told the sender, (her then-deputy chief of staff Jake Sullivan), to strip the email of any classified settings and resend it anyway.

THIS IS THE SMOKING GUN.   Hillary has been caught red-handed.

We've just been through seven years of bad luck with Barack Hussein Obama's lies, spins, manipulations, violations of the law... the last thing this country needs right now is eight more years of the same.

If you vote for her, you are complicit.  If the Democrats are stupid enough to let her onto their ticket, they are complicit.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

MORE OMINOUS NEWS FROM THE MIDDLE EAST

SPECIAL REPORT

Lost in the stock market news yesterday was the accusation by Iran that Saudi Arabia attacked the Iranian Embassy in Yemen.  Yemen borders Saudi Arabia on the south.  The Saudi-led coalition fighting Houthi rebels in Yemen has rejected the accusation saying that its warplanes were nowhere near the embassy.

You know how the guys in the Middle East think: "an eye for an eye, and an embassy for an embassy."  Iranian dissidents ravaged the Saudi embassy in Tehran last week.

The entire Middle East is already pockmarked by bombs and mortar shells; there are no signs of any peace initiatives from any corner.  In the meanwhile, I.S.I.S. continues to grow, move on and thrive.

And the headlines in THE WASHINGTON TIMES read:

"Trump video links Hillary Clinton to sex scandals of Bill Clinton, Anthony Weiner, Bill Cosby"

CRUZ CANNOT BE PRESIDENT

SPECIAL POST

Ted Cruz was born in Canada.  According to Article II of the Constitution, no person who is not a natural born citizen of the United States, or a citizen of the United States when the Constitution was adopted, can be the president.

Cruz says he gave up his Canadian citizenship so he could run for president.  He says that settles the matter.  But, giving up his citizenship does not change the fact that he is NOT a natural born citizen of the U.S., and he wasn't alive when the Constitution was adopted.

Therefore, unless we amend the Constitution, Cruz cannot legally be president.

He's a nice guy and has some great qualifications, but facts are facts.

HACKERS SHUT DOWN POWER GRID

SPECIAL POST

Just days into 2016, hackers, (probably from Russia), have managed to shut down an electrical distribution grid in the Ukraine.  I believe this was a test run for a real attack on our power grids in the United States.

In the meanwhile, our dumb-ass president spent the day trotting out his new and totally useless gun control measures.

THE PEOPLE'S RED LINE

SPECIAL POST

This president has seen fit to shred our constitution, by-pass Congress, ignore court orders and otherwise act like a pompous fart in a whirlwind.  His failures are too numerous to list, even on the infinite Internet.  No circus merry-go-round is even close to being a match for his lies, spins and maneuvers.  His evil and plotting ways and schemes make Boris Karloff look like an angel.

This, hopefully, is his last year in office and he's making to bones about it: he evidently intends to be an even stronger dictator than he has ever been in the past.   In his mind, what does he have to lose at this point?  Nobody, not even Congress with all of its power,  has seen fit to even try to rein him in. And the Republicans we voted into office in 2010 and 2014 to straighten up Obama's act have been an astonishing, astounding disappointment.

His agenda for 2016 is as long as it is ominous.  He's going to close Gitmo, open the door to more terrorism through his Syrian refugee program, marginalize Christians and Jews, erode America's fundamental ethics and morals... and he's going to get started with his number one priority, gun control.

It's going to be up to us to stop him.  The court system works too slow and Congress continually proves itself, especially when it comes to Obama, to be as useless as teats on a bull moose in a china closet.

We have to draw our own red line and, unlike our illustrious "president," we have to be willing to act when he crosses it.

We have to be ready, willing and able to march on Washington when the time comes.  We need to steel ourselves... get our backs up... and defy his contemptuous executive orders.  We need to let the bastard know, in no uncertain terms, where the true power of government lies in this great nation.

I don't know about you, but MY car is warming up in the driveway.
That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

COMING IN 2016

SPECIAL POST

Here were my predictions for 2015:
 1.  The Seattle Mariners will not win the World Series.
2.  Americans will rise up against Obama.
3.  Congress will not reduce the deficit or spending.
4.  Nancy Pelosi will get a face lift.
5.  Barack Obama will say it's time he turned his attention to jobs.
6.  Iran will acquire a nuclear weapon and Israel will do something about it.
7.  The stock market will crash.
8.  Assad will flip Obama off again.
9.  Bloomberg will announce he is going to run for the Presidency in 2016.
10.  There will be a showdown over Benghazi.
I think I batted about 70%.

Here's what I predict for 2016:

1.  Obama will get caught spying on Donald Trump.
2.  Hillary will not be the Democratic nominee for president.
3.  80% of those running for reelection to Congress will lose their seats.
4.  Miley Cyrus will not join a convent.
5.  Tom Brady will get caught over-inflating footballs.
6.  Nancy Pelosi will try, one more time, to find a cosmetologist willing to give her a face lift.
7.  Joe Biden will say something absolutely stupid.
8.  The Chicago White Sox will not win the World Series.
9.  Michael Moore will keep his mouth shut.
10. A wave of UFO sightings will occur around the world, several of which will land at Disney World trying to find our president.

Aren't you glad you asked?

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
